Jed Foundation works nationally to reduce the rate of suicide and the prevalence of emotional distress

comfortable searching for the information they need and want regarding mental health and suicide
prevention.
Transition Year is an online resource center to help parents and students focus on emotional health before,
during and after the college transition. Whether you need help picking a school that is the best fit, are
looking for tips on managing stress once on campus, or want guidance in making a smooth transition for a
student dealing with an issue like depression, this site has the tools and information you need.
What a Difference a Friend Makes Campaign (Forum) was launched by SAMHSA to encourage, educate, and
inspire people between 18 and 25 to support their friends who are experiencing mental health problems.
The site is here for people living with mental illness—and their friends. You'll find tools to help in the
recovery process, and you can also learn about the different kinds of mental illnesses, read real-life stories
or share your own about support and recovery, and interact with the video to see how friends can make all
the difference.
HEATH Resource Center is an online clearinghouse on postsecondary education for individuals with
disabilities. The HEATH Resource Center Clearinghouse has information for students with disabilities on
educational disability support services, policies, procedures, adaptations, accessing college or university
campuses, career-technical schools, and other postsecondary training entities.
Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) is the premiere professional association committed
to full participation of persons with disabilities in postsecondary education.
American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) mission is to contribute to national, state, and local
efforts to prevent additional health complications in people with disabilities through research, education and
advocacy. AAHD has created the AAHD Scholarship Program, which will support students with disabilities
who are pursuing higher education. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue
undergraduate/graduate studies in the field of public health, health promotion, disability studies, to include
disability policy and disability research.

Work:
Vocational Rehabilitation provides a variety of services related to employment and maintenance of
employment for individuals with physical or mental disabilities. Vocational Rehabilitation helps individuals
that are qualified obtain necessary devices in order for them to go to school or work. Services may start as

Work Incentives Planning & Assistance (WIPA) program offers "Community Work Incentives Coordinators"
who will help you in understanding your federal and state benefits and how to use work incentives.
National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) assists state and local
workforce development systems to better serve all youth, including youth with disabilities and other
disconnected youth. The NCWD/Youth, created in 2001, is composed of partners with expertise in

UPENN Collaborative on Community Integration is the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC)
devoted to promoting community integration for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. The Collaborative
focuses its efforts on the following areas: Community Integration Concept and History, Employment,
Housing, Education, Citizenship, Language and Community Integration, the Americans with Disabilities Act
and the Olmstead decision, Social Roles, Peer Support, Self-Determination, Discrimination and

Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston University is a research, training, and service organization
