Family-to-Family (F2F) brings together parents of young children with disabilities, developmental delays or
special health care needs so they can share their knowledge, concerns, and experiences with each other.

Fifth Freedom Network is a grassroots, cross-disability, consumer organization dedicated to removing the
physical and social barriers that often hold people with disabilities hostage to poverty, isolation and
underachievement. Our coalition members come together to learn about government processes, disability
rights, and state and national legislative change initiatives.

Governor’s Planning Council for People with Disabilities (GPCPD) is an independent state agency that
facilitates change. Our mission is to promote public policy which leads to the independence, productivity and
inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. Manages the

InSource-Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs (State Parent Training and Information
Center)-Provides
training and information to parents of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities
and to people who work with parents to enable them to participate more fully and effectively with
professionals in meeting the educational needs of their children with disabilities. Also provides individuals

National Programs/Advocacy:
American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the country's largest cross-disability membership
organization, organizes the disability community to be a powerful voice for change-politically, economically,
and socially.

Beach Center on Disability will make a significant and sustainable difference in the quality of life of families and
individuals affected by disability and of those who are closely involved with them.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to
improving the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) is a leading national civil rights law and policy center
directed by individuals with disabilities and parents who have children with disabilities. The mission is to
advance the civil and human rights of people with disabilities through legal advocacy, training, education, and
public policy and legislative development.

Disability Rights International, formerly Mental Disability Rights International, remains committed to
protecting the human rights and promoting the integration into society of people with disabilities. We have
helped create community alternatives and self-advocacy movements so that people can regain control of their
lives and live with dignity.

Family Voices (FV) aims to achieve family-centered care for all children and youth with special health care
needs and/or disabilities. Through our national network, we provide families tools to make informed
decisions, advocate for improved public and private policies, build partnerships among professionals and
families, and serve as a trusted resource on health care.

National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) has a vision of a society where people with disabilities have equality
of opportunity and are able to participate fully in community life by exercising choice and self determination.
NDRN's mission is to promote the integrity and capacity of the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) and Client
Assistance Program (CAP) national network and to advocate for the enactment and vigorous enforcement of
laws protecting civil and human rights of people with disabilities.

National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHY) is the center that provides information to
the nation on: disabilities in children and youth; programs and services for infants, children, and youth with
disabilities; IDEA, the nation's special education law; No Child Left Behind, the nation's general education law;
and research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities.

National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA) (Network) educates, supports, empowers and speaks up for
the more than 65 million Americans who care for loved ones with a chronic illness or disability or the frailties
of old age. NFCA reaches across the boundaries of diagnoses, relationships and life stages to help transform
family caregivers' lives by removing barriers to health and well being.

National Parent Network on Disabilities (NPND) is to provide a presence and national voice for ALL families of
children, youth and adults with disabilities.

National Youth Leadership Network (NYLN) is dedicated to advancing the next generation of disability leaders.

PACER Center (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights) mission is to expand opportunities and
enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the
concept of parents helping parents. PACER Center was created by parents of children and youth with
disabilities to help other parents and families facing similar challenges.

Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) vision is to be a nationally recognized leader in the
development, communication and dissemination of state-of-the-art education, training, outreach and support
services for children, particularly children with disabilities, their families and the professionals who serve them.

TASH is an international association of people with disabilities, their family members, other advocates, and
professionals fighting for a society in which inclusion of all people in all aspects of society is the norm. TASH
is an organization of members concerned with human dignity, civil rights, education, and independence for all
individuals with disabilities.

World Health Organization (WHO) is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United
Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health
research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical
support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.
