4th-6th Grades: It's My Life for youth from PBS deals with life and the stuff that we deal with every day. Whatever problem
you're dealing with, believe it or not, other kids and teens have gone through the same thing. Here at It's My Life, you can
read informative articles, share your stories, play games and activities, take quizzes and polls, watch video clips of other kids
talking about their feelings and experiences, get advice from older kids and experts, and contribute your own comments and

Reachout (Blog) is an information and support service using evidence based principles and technology to help
teens and young adults (16-24 years) facing tough times and struggling with mental health issues. All content is written by
teens and young adults, for teens and young adults, to meet them where they are, and help them recognize their own
strengths and use those strengths to overcome their difficulties and/or seek help if necessary.

10th + Grades:
Face the Issue (Forum/Blog) provides information and help for teens and young adults about depression,
drugs, anorexia, bulimia, abuse, self-esteem, and alcoholism.

12th + Grades:
What a Difference a Friend Makes Campaign (Forum) was launched by SAMHSA to encourage, educate, and
inspire people between 18 and 25 to support their friends who are experiencing mental health problems. The site is here for
people living with mental illness-and their friends. You'll find tools to help in the recovery process, and you can also learn
about the different kinds of mental illnesses, read real-life stories or
share your own about support and recovery, and interact
with the video to see how friends can make all the difference.

Experience Journals are designed to promote the healthy coping of children and their families who must contend with
significant physical and emotional illnesses. The Experience Journals are collections of stories, pictures, and personal
experiences from families about what it has been like to live with their children’s illnesses. They represent the “collective
wisdom” of these children and their parents as well as their health care providers. (

CopeCareDeal creates (free, online) books and web materials for adolescents on topics including depression, bipolar disorder,
anxiety, schizophrenia, and suicide prevention. The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands created the Adolescent
Mental Health Initiative to synthesize and disseminate scientific research on the prevention and treatment of mental disorders
in adolescents. The Initiative is administered with the assistance of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of
Pennsylvania.

Samariteens is a free, confidential, helpline staffed by teenage volunteers who are trained to be compassionate and
supportive listeners. Samariteens provides peer support and understanding to those facing the challenges of adolescence.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides a 24 hour suicide prevention service available to anyone in a suicidal crisis or for
