Transportation is a key part of being independent. In the world today, everyone needs transportation
to be able to get to where they need to go. Different types of transportation are listed below with
things to think about for each of them.

Your own personal vehicle?

  2. Who will take you?
  1. Driver's License

  1. Do you have the money or credit to buy a vehicle?
  2. You need to keep insurance when you drive.
  3. All vehicles need to be registered with current license plates.
  4. Vehicles need regular oil changes and other stuff done to keep them running.
  1. Tickets-If you receive any tickets, you will need to pay them or you will lose your license and/or
    your vehicle.

  2. Charge-Will you need to pay them for their time and gas?
  3. Back Up-What will you do if you cannot find someone to take you?

Taking a cab?
  1. Cost-How much does the cab cost?
  2. Availability-How long will you need to wait to find a cab?

Walking/Biking?
  1. Weather-How will you get where you need to go when the weather is bad?
  2. Distance-What will you do if you need to go a long way?
  3. Biking-What are you doing to do if you cannot find a place to secure your bike?
